Today’s Lunar Guidance for Moon in Aquarius
Moon is still waxing in Aquarius as we reach the end of the first quarter lunar phase. The first quarter moon rises around midday and sets at midnight…at 50% of her luminescence. That gives us a pretty nice balance between our rational and emotional aspects, which can help communication between the sexes.
That is handy as first quarter moon is when the sun and moon form a square (90 degree angle) to each other. This can create a degree of tension, both internally and externally between genders.
Squares are often challenging, when we feel at odds with each other, as if our expectations and approaches run counter to each other’s. This is the energy that creates the banter of quarrelling lovers like Beatrice and Benedict in Shakespeare’s ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ or modern rom com’s like ‘The Proposal’ with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds…so you may observe this dynamic in your own life or in your workplace or neighbourhood, wherever there is an attraction between polar opposites which is not acknowledged – which plays out as spats to diffuse the build up of tension.
Add to that, our inner youthful archetypes – the ‘inner knight and maiden’ are at the helm in our psyche during this early phase in the lunar month, which can also add to ego wrangling and romantic urges.
Fortunately, moon in Aquarius helps us love one another so no hair pulling should ensue. If things do get too heated between you and someone who appears in opposition to your every move, see them as your brother or sister to help simmer down the pot of feelings.
