Today’s Lunar Guidance for Moon in Capricorn
The moon is now in Capricorn.
This is likely to create extra sensitivity around time, so be prepared for yourself and others to respond with more of an emotional charge if they feel their time isn’t being respected over the next couple of days.
Capricorn is ruled by the planet, Saturn. Known as Cronus (Father Time) to the ancient Greeks. Saturn is a stickler for rules, regulations and structures including time so order is maintained and responsibilities honoured. For an archetypal reference, think of the depiction of ‘Time’ as a stern male authority figure played by Sacha Baron Cohen in the film, ‘Alice in the Looking Glass’.
When we fixate on time and allow this man made concept to rule us, we become less available to fully inhabiting and being available to what’s occurring in each present moment.
Perceiving time as linear means we have a sense of the clock ticking all the time, like the white rabbit who’s anxious that he’s going to be late and therefore miss out on something. If we have a subconscious belief that we’re going to miss out and not get our needs met we will unconsciously run on anxiety, making the mind’s strict adherence to time more important that the heart’s desire for what would truly be fulfilling moment-to-moment, such as quality human interactions or addressing our deepest desires for happiness.
This is how such a wound gets passed down ancestral lineages. If a parent is running this subconscious story, ‘that there’s never enough time to get their needs met’ then the message is received by their kids is their parent never has enough time for them. This creates the same illusive belief in the child. In a culture which is so reliant on time is it any wonder that anxious disorders are so prevalent, such as ADHD.
So what’s the answer?
Go to the root – subconscious healing methods from EFT to hypnosis. Conscious affirmations such as ‘I am always where I need to be’ are helpful but these will be undermined by deep seated core beliefs if we don’t address the very foundations of our operating system which form before the age of 7. Neuroscientists have confirmed 95% of our behaviour is driven by our subconscious so that is where the healing needs to occur if we are to undo manic behaviours and ensure our mental wellbeing.
