Are you feeling a tad off balance?
We tend to do activities we feel confident at and avoid that which we don’t. For example, if we’re embarrassed about our weight, we’ll avoid joining a gym or if we feel like a child when it comes to our finances, we’ll put off creating a budget and savings plan.
A task that seems easy for one person is overwhelming for another. So, it’s helpful to remember we’re all masters and apprentices in different areas. This perspective helps us not put off addressing areas of dysfunction and disempowerment in order to spare ourselves feeling shame and guilt.
New moon in Libra is likely to highlight the parts of our lives that have been neglected with potential catalysts that demands our attention. Everything in our realm of existence contains a polarity within the singularity. We are all comprised of feminine (receptive) and masculine (active) energies. Creation occurs through the union of opposite polarities, whether that’s the conception of a child or an idea made manifest through physical application.
So too, our life becomes more fun and creative, fertile with abundance and opportunities, and our health and partnerships more dynamic when we seek to balance our polarities. Equally, the more polarised we become by staying in our comfort zone, the less dynamic, fulfilling and vital every aspect of our lives.
So, on the road to balance it is inevitable that we learn how to dance with the opposing force. If we don’t seek to create balance in ourselves and our lives, we are attracted like a magnet to someone who embodies the opposite polarity and feel like we can’t live without them.
This level of polarised partnership is fueled by need so drama and conflict results in each re-wounding the other. We cannot heal this dance of relating unless we identify and redress our own imbalance…regardless of our gender identity or preference.
Libra new moon evokes our relationship issues. If unpartnered, these may play out with friends, family, neighbours or work colleagues. Libra asks us to restore harmony wherever there is polarisation. We do this by identifying where we are out of balance and acknowledging this with those around us. This diplomacy opens the way for true conflict resolution through trust and transparency.
Libra grants us a reprise from drama. As a mercurial air sign, Libra helps us step back from the emotion a situation evokes, allowing us to look at the facts so we can strategise a win/win solution that equally honours the needs and wishes of everyone involved.
Now is a great time to review how balanced your life is using the template of the 5 elements of creation to identify whether all your needs are being met. Consider journaling answers to these self-enquiry questions:
-
- Are you growing mentally? How long since you read a new book, did a course of study or discussed ideas that stimulate your mind?
- Are you growing creatively? How long since you created something to express your soul?
- Are you growing emotionally? How long since you did a personal growth workshop or allowed yourself to step over your edge with someone?
- Are you growing physically? How long since you exercised regularly or did a budget to review input and output?
- Are you growing spiritually? When was the last time you meditated or went on retreat?
New moon in Libra offers us a reset button to reinvent ourselves and do things differently to create more balance. The more we consider the opposite perspective and strengthen that which is weak within us, the stronger we become and the more graceful life is.
